HIV FAST TRACK CITIES PROJECT MANAGER

PART-TIME, FIXED TERM CONTRACT

Originally founded in *, as _Cork AIDS
Alliance_, to provide support to people living with HIV, the SEXUAL
HEALTH CENTRE is now a leading organisation supporting and promoting
sexual health in Ireland.

The _Sexual Health Centre _is now seeking an experienced and dynamic
project manager to effectively build, lead, manage, and deliver the
HIV Fast Track Cities initiative for Cork.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the HIV Fast Track Cities Project
Manager will effectively be responsible for the development and
implementation of a HIV fast-track cities Cork strategy on behalf of
the Cork HIV Fast Track Cities Cork Steering Committee.

The Sexual Health Centre has an ambitious programme for a future where
sexual health is recognised as an integral part of life, barriers to
access sexual health services are removed, social stigma and
discrimination are challenged, each individual feels safe to express
their sexuality, and people make informed decisions regarding their
sexual wellbeing and treat each other’s life choices with the utmost
respect. Our services provide free and confidential information,
counselling and support to help people make positive, healthy
lifestyle choices to improve their wellbeing. We are an active member
and co-signatory of Cork HIV Fast Track Cities.

The postholder will need to embody the organisations ambitious and
compassionate culture and facilitate collaborative, interagency
working with a clear strategic plan relating to Cork HIV Fast Track
Cities for all partners. In this role, you will have the opportunity
to make a significant contribution to the overall strategy of the
_Sexual Health Centre, _as well as local and national strategies.

This is a part-time, fixed term contract until January **Apply on the

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POST

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the HIV Fast Track Cities Project
Manager will effectively be responsible for the development and
implementation of a HIV fast-track cities Cork strategy on behalf of
the Cork HIV Fast Track Cities Cork Steering Committee.

_RESPONSIBILITIES OF YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:_

* Synthesising the results of the national HIV scoping study and
developing a Cork level Fast Track Cities implementation plan/strategy
in consultation with steering committee, community members and
relevant stakeholders.
* Examining the potential funding streams available to Cork Fast
Track Cities and delivering business cases (with diversification of
funding streams) to support further funding for Fast Track Cities Cork
and local HIV services
* Supporting the steering group in Cork and integrating services and
stakeholders across the steering group
* Work with statutory authorities, politicians and community groups
to ensure an understanding of the role of Cork Fast Track Cities
* Ensure proper management of the administrative and financial
systems needed to undertake this work within the umbrella of the
Sexual Health Centre
* Develop, directly undertake and/or manage the contribution of Cork
Fast Track Cities to projects and initiatives within the wider policy
context
* Ensure that all grant and funding conditions are adhered to and
progress towards work targets is monitored and achieved, taking
remedial action where any problems are encountered
* Represent the work of Cork Fast Track Cities to appropriate bodies
and events including conferences, politicians and policymakers
* Work with local Fast Track networks to support and amplify their
voices in policy making at local and national level with particular
attention to ensuring the inclusion of people with HIV and those from
under-represented communities and backgrounds
* Promote local and national Fast Track and allied initiatives
through social and other media activities in liaison with the Sexual
Health Centre’s Communications Team Sexual Health & Crisis Pregnancy
Programme Communications Team
* Deliver agreed work on time and to budget, keeping track of
expenses and maintaining records to the standard agreed with the Head
of Operations
* Ensure the inclusion of people living with HIV and people from key
affected communities in the creation of campaigns and other pieces of
work
* Ensure that Cork Fast Track Cities adheres to all appropriate
data, work and other legislative requirements
* Provide day-to-day office and administrative duties as required
* Complete data collection and collation for a variety of funders
and services as required
* Monitor and evaluate work as required, keeping secure written and
statistical records of work undertaken and providing reports as
required
* Represent the Sexual Health Centre at events, conferences,
meetings etc.
* Achieve volume, activity and income targets as agreed with the
Head of Operations
* Adhere to the goals and targets of the Strategic Plan for The
Sexual Health Centre
* Perform other duties commensurate with the nature of the post. It
is important that all members of staff are prepared to take on
additional duties or relinquish existing duties in order to maintain
efficient running of the organisation. All roles will develop and the
Sexual Health Centre may change the role scope in consultation with
the post holder
